The series
Six short novels, a prequel and an omnibus. Each book stands alone and can be read first. Read in order, they do something else: six strangers at the edges of one afternoon slowly become a family around one table.
They are short on purpose — three to four hours each. They are meant to be read the way the story was first told: in an evening, out loud if you like, and passed on.
